Hermes Agent · Comparison

Staffbox vs hosted Hermes: Hostinger and Atlantic.Net compared

Short answer: Hostinger's hosted Hermes is $5.99–$11.99 a month (as reported, 13 Oct 2026); Staffbox is $595 a month at founding sites (first 100) for as long as the box is live (draft pricing), keeping data and sign-off on site.

Hosted Hermes is the quickest, cheapest way to get an agent running, and two vendors lead the search results: Hostinger and Atlantic.Net. For a business that quotes from its own price list, that saving moves the price list and customer emails onto someone else's servers and leaves the tool settings with you. The fee matters less than the task and the data. Quoting from your own price list? Tell us in the form below; a person on our team replies.

Updated 13 October 2026 · built on Hermes Agent, not affiliated with Nous Research

Staffbox is built on Hermes Agent (Nous Research, MIT license). Staffbox is not affiliated with Nous Research. Facts about Hostinger and Atlantic.Net are dated, labelled as reported, and linked in the sources at the bottom; their strengths are stated alongside ours.

Hostinger runs Hermes for you; Atlantic.Net rents you a server to run it on

Hosted Hermes means someone else owns the server, but the two vendors split the work differently. Hostinger sells a managed Hermes Agent app. Atlantic.Net sells a cloud server with a one-click Hermes image and says Hermes itself is yours to manage. We read both vendors' public pages on 13 October 2026; everything below about them is as reported there, on that date, and may have changed.

Staffbox is a third kind of thing: an installed quote desk, not a general Hermes host. Buyers search for all three, which is why they sit in one table. Staffbox is not affiliated with Nous Research.

  • Price. A few dollars a month against hundreds. For experiments this is hard to beat. as reported
  • Speed to start. Hostinger describes one-click setup; Atlantic.Net describes a prepared image. Staffbox needs a Mac mini, an IT provider visit and a score first.
  • Choice of model. Hostinger lists 200+ models through OpenRouter, and Atlantic.Net lets you connect any supported provider. A frontier cloud model may beat a small local one on open-ended tasks. We have not tested that on your work.
  • A real track record as companies. Both are established hosting businesses with support teams. Atlantic.Net cites 24/7/365 infrastructure support and an uptime SLA on eligible network, hardware and power commitments, which it says does not cover Hermes or model providers. Staffbox has no customer install yet and no certification.
  • Messaging reach. Both describe chat integrations, including Telegram on Hostinger and 20+ platforms on Atlantic.Net. Staffbox's quote desk reads a mailbox or folder.

On a hosted Hermes, switching risky tools off is your job

Hermes Agent is popular and moves fast, which draws scrutiny. As reported, there are three CVEs disclosed against Hermes components (CVE-2026-7396, CVE-2026-7397 and CVE-2026-6829; Cloud Security Alliance note, 4 May 2026); the note's nine-in-four-days figure refers to OpenClaw, a different agent platform. An open audit issue (7826) on the project's tracker lists findings including that agent-written skills can persist as prompt-injection vectors. Treat both as reports we have read, not as verdicts. The point for a buyer: on a hosted Hermes you manage the tool settings yourself (Atlantic.Net says so directly). On a Staffbox unit the installer turns off nine tool groups by default (terminal, code execution, browser, computer use, web, outside connections, delegation, scheduled jobs and text-to-speech) plus image generation. See what is switched off and why.

Use hosted for general tasks and an installed unit for quoting from your price list

If the task is general, the data is not sensitive and you can administer an agent, a hosted Hermes is cheap and quick. If the task is answering customers from your price list, the data is yours to protect, and you want someone else to prove it works first, an installed unit fits better. If you are unsure, run the free 3-request test on your own requests: it shows what Staffbox would have drafted, misses included.
